Tenses: An Overview You're entering a grammar zone... do not be afraid!!

Tenses are simply time frames which allow you to say when something happened.

Verbs are doing words, e.g. run, read, buy, play etc. Verbs need endings depending on who you are talking about.

At GCSE level, you will be working with 3 tenses: past, present and future.
