GCSE English

Verbs as Nouns

Perhaps one of the most unusual aspects of verbs is that they can often be used as nouns!

e.g. Newton was seen eating an apple.
The Fatfighters lady says eating is bad.

Newton's action was eating - a verb. The unhelpful lady was using eating as a noun - a thing.
