Images Summary

Images are comparisons used to make writing more interesting.

Images are generally not literal, but instead rely on the use of imagination.

A simile is where things are said to be like something else.
e.g. the car was as quick as lightning.

A metaphor is where things are more directly described.
e.g. "Victoria's husband was a rock to her."
e.g. "Gareth regularly threw the baby out with the bathwater."
