Harmsy's Physics

Energy & Work

Here's another example:

Work is done when we drag a suitcase along the floor. We are moving the body against the force of friction.

Work is defined by: Work Done (Nm) = Force (N) × Distance (m)

The newton-metre (Nm) is such an important unit, it is also known as the joule (J).
